Meals include homemade soups, specialty salads and fresh fish, poultry, meats and alluring desserts. A good beginning to any meal are the host of memorable appetizers such as the Maytag blue cheese fondu topped with toated walnuts and served with their house made crostini.

Their grilled salmon Caesar salad with reggiano and garlic herb croutons is also excellent. Main course entrees are served with your choice of superb tasting yukon gold garlic mashed potatoes, a baked potato loaded loaded with mashed potatoes, a baked potato loaded with butter, sour cream and chives or wild rice and perfectly cooked vegetables.

The select menu with several daily specials includes a sensational Kona spiced Hawaiian rib eye steak with a red wine sauce, a wonderful tasting grilled salmon served with a delicious ginger curry butter, baby bok choy and asian wild rice.

No less memorable is their tantalizing cioppino loaded with chunks of fresh salmon, shrimp, mussels, clams and scallops which are all smothered in a spicy tomato broth. Less hungry diners will enjoy their host of delicious burgers and sandwiches.

Bistro 39 is a favorite restaurant for locals and out-of-towners alike. Its local appeal is because the word has gotten out that it’s not hotel food. So the numerous locals living in nearby apartments, condos and single-family homes come here to dine too. Meals ($10-$30).

Plus, their chef, who graduated from a famous culinary school, creates memorable entrées at affordable prices. It’s an unbeatable combination. And their menu which changes every three months always gets rave reviews.

The glazed salmon fillet appetizer, for example, is finished with sesame seeds and will definitely get your attention. So will the sizzling Kansas City 12-oz. bone-in New York strip steak accented with a tantalizing herb butter.

Also very memorable is the cioppino, which is made with fresh fish, shrimp, scallops, clams and calamari simmered in their flavorful tomato broth with a hint of fennel. It’s served with a toasted baguette slice of bread.

The white sea bass is also a showstopper.

Desserts like their fruit cobbler or their tantalizing sorbets will seal the deal and make you a regular at Bistro 39.

The plan includes short-term and long-term solutions, including things like a wayfinder signage system and the construction of public parking garages.

A local legend in delicious oriental cuisine is Szechuan Mandarin Restaurant featuring chef Tat Law. They have been in business for 29 years. And even though the entrées names may be the same as elsewhere, everything tastes a little more exotic and delicious here. And being a Szechuan restaurant means that they offer lots of spicy hot entrées, which are very tantalizing and delicious. What also separates this restaurant from all of the rest is their fine wine list and intimate cocktail lounge. And they have a nice patio for dining. The menu is almost endless.

A solution for what to order can be simplified by ordering one of their complete dinners ($11–$20) per person. These exotic meals are served with a savory soup and your choice of salad or egg roll. Easy to recommend is their family combination. It comes with a savory moo goo gai pan, Szechuan beef, almond chicken, Szechuan pork, sweet-and-sour pork or chicken, moo shi pork or chicken and lots of mixed vegetables.
