In one of La Jolla’s most romantic settings, this restaurant overlooks the ocean and the beautiful La Jolla Cove. Romantic sunsets and dramatic views are the order of the day. And the cuisine is just as great. For a really romantic table, ask for table 7 or 20 inside, or table 75, 76 or 77 outside.
As you would expect, fresh seafood is the specialty. A real crowd pleaser is the slow roasted salmon with tomato chantelle mushroom couscous, seasonal vegetables and meyer lemon fennel cream. Another winner is the Macadamia nut crusted halibut with a bonita sweet potato plantain mash accented with Thai basil oil and a keylime beurre blanc.
Another great recommendation is their filet mignon with marscapone-garlic Yukon gold potatoes and a shallot demiglace. Another plus is the Oyster Bar, which is open daily after 3 p.m. It is the perfect place for shellfish delicacies. This is California dining at its best. Children’s menu. Validated underground parking.
