This stunning architectural of the historic circa 1888 boathouse that once belonged to the Hotel Del Coronado is the new home of the sixth location of The Bluewater Seafood Grill. Day or night this eye-catching restaurant is an inviting invitation to discover.
Upon stepping through the front door, the restaurant sparkles with beautiful varnished hardwood floors and many eye catching historic photos showing off his historic building taken from the air, land and sea. On hand to greet you is an attentive well-trained staffed of servers that provide efficient service with loads of delicious entrees streaming from the open kitchen where you can see your entrees being prepared.
From the second floor deck diners are offered romantic views of Glorietta Bay as well. As you might guess each restaurant in the chain of stand out restaurants in the Bluewater Seafood Grill chain strives to be better than the others. In this case, the owners have taken an historic 1888 boathouse and turned it into a glittering showpiece.
Yet the show stopper for this and the other restaurants is the two owners commitment to serve the freshest sustainable seafood possible caught from their own boats. So whatever you select you can be assured that it’s freshly caught.
Featured grilled catches of the day selections may include blackened fresh swordfish, bronzed CajunTeriyaki and Panko fried or poached seafood selections. Other mainstays include a delicious bouillabaisse filled with fresh scallops, clams, muscles, and lots of fresh fish.
Meals are served with their own famous freshly baked bread and butter which is excellent for soaping up the bouillabaisse if you should order it. Also highly recommended is their delicious blue cheese wedge salad and their tantalizing Caesar salad.
Also recommended are their host of appetizers such as their grilled scallops or their savory artichoke dip enjoyed with a glass of wine or a hearty beer.
Do save room for one of their memorable desserts. A real show stopper is their molten lava chocolate cake served with a scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream with freshly sliced strawberries. It’s wonderful. Also hard to pass up is their tangy key lime pie. Full bar and excellent wines are also offered including their signature cocktails such as their Mai Tai tropical drinks and freshly made frosty margaritas rimmed with salt.
