Please be advised that as of Friday, June 15th 2016, a new pedestrian border crossing from Mexico to the US has been opened on the west side of the Freeway and is located at the foot of Virginia Avenue in the US side and is shown on the Tijuana map as Pedwest (in red letters). Thus you can park at the convenient Border Station Parking lot (1) and walk directly south one block into Mexico vs. crossing into Mexico on foot on the northern side of the freeway. This is a huge time saver.
