What a delightful idea. Vacationing or having a weekend getaway at a boutique winery. Eagle’s Nest Winery, which was established in 2007, has the unique distinction of having one of the few female wine makers in the county. That being said, this award-winning winery and vacation cottage is worthy of discovery.
The Italian wine-themed villas at Eagle’s Nest Winery rent for a mere ($180) weekdays and ($200) weekends and are a perfect vacation destination. The Eagle’s Nest Winery is nestled in natural granite boulders just above the gated vineyard itself.
The winery’s wine makers and owners are Julie and Dennis Grimes. Julie recently was awarded a bronze medal at the International Women’s Wine Competition.
Produced here at the Eagles’ Nest Winery are viognier, red zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, Syrah, merlot, tempranillo, chardonnay and two blush wines. This boutique winery produces 1,000 cases annually.
